[Anna (A.K.M.) Skarpelis'](/people/anna-skarpelis) (2018-2021) article, “Horror Vacui: Racial Misalignment, Symbolic Repair, and Imperial Legitimation in German National Socialist Portrait Photography” has received three awards! The article has been awarded the Article/Chapter award from the ASA Political Sociology Section, an honorable mention for the Clifford Geertz Award from the ASA Cultural Sociology Section, and an honorable mention for the ASA Global and Transnational Sociology Section's Best Article Award.
