**Research interests:** Assimilation &amp; Integration Theories, Ethnographic Methods, Identity Formation, Immigration in the US and in Europe, International Migration, Race &amp; Ethnicity, Racial Formation.

**Bio:** Emma Fromont is a PhD student in Sociology. She is interested in identity formation in migration and shifting racial boundaries across national borders. She specifically studies contemporary European migrants in the US, and how nationality, ethnic and racial identities are claimed in migration.
