# Peter Francis Harvey Assistant Professor of Sociology, Indiana University-Bloomington. As such, I work in areas including culture, education, the family, inequality, organizations, and social psychology. I seek to study, and theorize, the continuation and modulation of class, race, and gender disparities. I am also very invested in the rigorous use of qualitative methods. In August 2025 I started as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Indiana University. I received my PhD in Sociology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2022. Having grown up in the UK, I received my undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of Edinburgh and University of Cambridge, respectively.
