Research interests: Critical terrorism studies, anthropologies of political violence, forced migration and displacement studies and post-conflict reconstruction.    

Gbemisola will spend the year examining the continuum of displacement in northeast Nigeria, in order to broadened her understanding about the challenges that attend humanitarian crises and the manifold effects internal displacement has not only on IDPs, but also on communities that host them.
