Ph.D. Candidate in the Departments of Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies
Keye Tersmette is a PhD student in Harvard’s joint programme in Anthropology and Middle Eastern Studies. His dissertation focuses on the emergence and evolution of borders and citizenship in the Arabian Peninsula. He is currently conducting fieldwork on in/exclusion in the rentier state in two sites along the Omani-Emirati border. He holds an MA in Modern Middle Eastern Studies from Leiden University, and an MA and BA (Hons) from the University of Cambridge.
