Research interests:  Social stratification, immigration, ethnicity, labor markets, comparative Latin America.

Meylin is exploring how immigrants and refugees in Latin America are finding employment through formal and informal methods. Her project aims to later develop in a cross-national comparison that examines the influence of immigration and labor market regimes on how immigrants approach job search and view employment more generally. Her project also aims to contribute to the growing scholarship on south-south migration.
