Miriam is exploring how work regulations contribute to inequalities at the labour market, in particular but not only as a result of databased discrimination, through a conceptual framework on the value of work. Her socio-legal project aims at defining the value of work drawing on insights from political economy, sociology, economics, and law (in particular human rights and labour/employment rights), to be used as a yardstick to evaluate contemporary work regulations.
