Research interests: Exploring the intersectionality among gender, race and class though comparative case studies of “new left” and “new right” social movements and their relation to political parties.

Myra is currently doing an analysis of the German Greens and AfD and the gendering of the Republican and Democratic Parties in the US, along with considering the British UKIP and German AfD as they connect anti-EU with anti-immigrant sentiments in a politics of masculinized sovereignty. She is also serving as co-chair for the Seminar on Social Exclusion and Inclusion at the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies (CES), Harvard University.
